PERSONAL INJURY – “INTELLIGENT SURVEILLANCE”
A completely
fresh approach to surveillance
Based on this product Robertson & Co
were
shortlisted as finalists for the award
Service Provider of the Year at the
British Insurance Awards,
London
2010.
How 'Intelligent Surveillance'
came about
Since it began Robertson & Co have been working alongside
its clients claims
staff
providing nil-cost secondments – some as long as a year – to assist with their
management of fraud.
During these secondments the same frustrations and concerns
were frequently expressed about the typical surveillance model being offered by suppliers. These concerns centred on the following
issues:
-
The number of “No Shows” -
The high risk of the claimant no longer living at the
address -
The potential for wasting
and spiralling surveillance costs due to the large element of luck associated with surveillance
-
The
limitations of the day rate charging structure and the constraints
of the two days approach to surveillance
-
Urgent, evening, weekend or public holiday responses are difficult to obtain
from suppliers, or come at an additional or premium cost.
Given our role
is to deliver services in line with client
needs using the most cost effective means
possible and to maximise the
return on investment, we carried out a root and branch review of our
surveillance offerings.
The
Answer
Robertson &
Co has radically revised its service, it is called Intelligent Surveillance.
This is what we do;
-
Upon receipt of
every instruction we carry out comprehensive data-mining searches and background
research in order to establish the optimum tactical approach for the case e.g.
time of day, number of agents and vehicles etc.
-
On the first day
of surveillance, if the data-mining and research is inconclusive and it is still
unclear whether the subject still lives at the address, we
will deploy one intelligence gathering agent, (unless the instruction dictates
otherwise)
-
On the second and subsequent days,
using the intelligence gained on the first day, we will employ as many agents as
necessary to undertake the surveillance
-
If the claimant lives at the address but is not seen to leave, a third or
fourth day will be provided at no extra cost
-
Within 4 hours on
any day of the year, we guarantee having a surveillance
response anywhere in the UK – at no extra cost
-
In order for our clients to determine value for money and return on their
investment, our reports will explain our tactical Intelligent
Surveillance decisions, together with a breakdown of costs, including the
number of free hours
-
A professional, lawful and ethical approach guaranteed
-
If you are not satisfied with the effort that we have devoted to your
instruction, we will not invoice you
